Mouse Hunt by Seuil Chung
Mouse Hunt is an ongoing exploration and expression of the bodily images that float in the artist’s head. The artist uses abstraction as a formal strategy to convey a sense of uncanniness. Aside from presenting glimpses of images of the human body, the artist extends his exploration to systemic assemblies and interactions of different parts within the individual pieces.
This exhibition is organized by KINK Contemporary.
MEET THE ARTIST
“My work is about the obsession towards pain. With clay, the obsession shows through the abnormal ways of assembling, disassembling, and distorting the body in various scenarios I create. The forms are abstracted and simplified to blur the line between the representation of the body and ceramics as visual material. My goal is to shed light on the absurdity of having a body and what it means to manipulate it.”
